Dr Don Adams has worked in the Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector for 13 years before taking an appointment at the University of Newcastle. He has had extensive experience in TVET teacher education at both the school and post school levels His PhD is in the area of Leadership in TVET. His research interests are TVET, Lifelong Learning and TVET leadership.

Robyn Donovan is the Women into Science and Technology (WIST) Coordinator and is based at Central Queensland University. Robyn is responsible for the management and marketing of the program and also teaches the WIST Communications course. Previously she gained experience as a librarian/information literacy educator in academic libraries. She is near to completing PhD research about the information literacy and learning needs of international students. Hilary enjoys travel, the beach, music and reading.

Dr Kristy Richarsdon is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Commerce and Marketing in the Faculty of Business and Informatics at Central Queensland University. She undertook her own PhD journey examining judicial independence (as a distance student with UNE). Her other academic and research interests include workplace health and safety and the regulatory impact of legislation on the citizen. She is a member of Queensland Law Society, an Associate of the Australian Property Institute, member of LAWASIA and the International Commission of Jurists.

Having worked in universtiy and TAFE libraries in Queensland since 1992, she is passionate about information literacy, lifelong learning and academic literacy.

His research interest are focused on access and equity in adult, community and vocational education in diverse and informal contexts. He has undertaken many national research projects for NCVER and is currently developing a collaborative international project focusing on men's informal learning and wellbeing.

Jacqueline McManus is currently working in Learning & Teaching @ UNSW where she is responsible for capacity and leadership development at the organisational level for academic staff at the University of NSW. Her interest in professional development resulted from her former position, Associate Head of School at the Australian School of Taxation (Atax), Faculty of Law, University of New South Wales where she taught across a wide range of tax law and tax policy courses and managed the learning and professional development arm of Atax.
Jacqui’s doctoral thesis focussed on developing capacity in workers. Her research continues in this area and is broadly related to organisational and workplace learning, professional development and lifelong learning.
